T. A. Lauta Waste Incineration Plant, Germany

The T.A. Lauta waste-to-energy plant generates electricity and steam from municipal solid waste. The electricity is fed into the grid, and the steam is supplied to industrial customers for process steam.

The plant is equipped with state-of-the-art grate combustion and flue gas cleaning technology and is characterized by high reliability and availability. With its high efficiency, the system helps conserve resources and reduce CO2 emissions.

This combination of electricity and heat leads to a particularly efficient use of the energy contained in the waste. With a throughput of approximately 225,000 tons per year, the plant ensures safe, modern, and environmentally friendly waste disposal for more than 1 million residents.
