At the Salonit Anhovo cement plant, Iqony Solutions (IQS) implemented an automatic kiln control system using the PiT Navigator.
Services provided by IQS:
Optimized control of kiln speed, raw meal feed rate, primary and secondary fuel quantities, air volumes and distribution in the cooler, grate speeds in the cooler, and hot disc speed.
The benefits:
- Reduction in energy consumption per ton of clinker by 2.2%
- Increase in the proportion of secondary fuel in the calciner by 1.1%
- Automatic response to changes in free lime content and changes in emission levels
