Berliner Energie und Wärme AG (BEW) operates a coal-fired power plant at the Reuter West site, which supplies district heating to parts of Berlin. In the future, electricity and heat will be generated by the following plants:

  • State-of-the-art CHP plant with 300 MWel and 500 MWth
  • Power-to-heat plant with over 100 MWth
  • Large wastewater heat pumps with over 100 MWth
  • Steam turbine for utilizing waste heat from a waste-to-energy plant, 100 MW
