According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Ads is not merged with other Google data.

Where you have given your consent, this website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. The data controller in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (‘Google’).

Scope of processing
Google Analytics uses cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of our websites. The information collected via the cookies regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The service utilises the Universal Analytics mode: this enables data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to be assigned to a pseudonymous user ID, thereby allowing a user’s activities to be analysed across devices.

We use the ‘anonymizeIP’ function (so-called IP masking): Due to the activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address is truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data held by Google.

During your visit to the website, the following data, among other things, is collected:

  • the pages you visit, your ‘click path’
  • achievement of “website goals” (conversions, e.g. newsletter subscriptions, downloads)
  • your user behaviour (e.g. clicks, time spent on site, bounce rates)
  • Your approximate location (city in country X)

  • Technical information about your browser and the devices you use (e.g. language settings, screen resolution)
  • Your internet service provider
  • The referrer URL (via which website/advertising material you arrived at this website)

Profiling and data linking:
When using Google Analytics, Google may create pseudonymised user profiles from the data collected in order to analyse your interactions and process them for its own purposes, such as personalised advertising. Furthermore, Google may link the information collected via Google Analytics with other data from other Google services (such as your Google Account, search history, YouTube) to create more comprehensive user profiles – particularly if you are logged in to Google services.

Purposes of processing
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyse the performance of our application and the success of our marketing campaigns.

Recipients
The recipient of the data is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, acting as a data processor. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google for this purpose. Google LLC, based in California, USA, and, where applicable, US authorities may access the data stored by Google.

Retention period
The data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has expired is automatically deleted once a month.

Legal basis and right
to withdraw consent Your consent, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, is a prerequisite for this data processing. You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. To do so, please follow the link provided under ‘Use of cookies’.

Some of this data is transmitted to us automatically based on the settings of your device. Some of it is necessary to display our website correctly and to ensure its security, as well as to identify and resolve any technical issues (Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG). Insofar as we use this data to make our website more user-friendly, secure and attractive, we rely on a legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Your server log data is deleted after 7 days. This data is not stored together with other personal data relating to the user.

Should no contract be concluded with you during this time, we will delete your application. Please also refer to “Your rights”.

Social media

Icons
Our website features social media icons for YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. These simply take you to these platforms via an external link. They are not ‘share’ buttons, but merely hyperlinks.

YouTube (including Google Fonts) and embeds on our website
We embed YouTube videos on some of our web pages. The operator is YouTube, LLC, a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as “Google”).

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about website visitors before they watch the video. However, the enhanced privacy mode does not necessarily prevent data from being shared with YouTube partners. Thus, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on our website, a connection is established with YouTube’s servers. In doing so, the YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to link your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your device after you start a video. YouTube uses these cookies to obtain information about visitors to our website. This information is used, amongst other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Where applicable, further data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, over which we have no control.

YouTube uses Google Fonts, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to ensure consistent font display. When you visit a page, your browser loads the required Google Fonts into your browser cache to display text and fonts correctly. To do this, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This enables Google to recognise that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Fonts is in the interest of a consistent and appealing presentation of YouTube. These processing operations take place exclusively following the granting of your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR when you activate the YouTube video on our website. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

Details of which data is processed by YouTube and the purposes for which this data is used can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy. Information on how to change your privacy settings with Google can be found at https://privacy.google.com/take-control.html?categories_activeEl=sign-in.

Social media
presence We maintain a presence on social media. Further information on this can be found here.

Technical and Organisational Measures

The protection of your data is our top priority. We therefore implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, in accordance with legal requirements and the current state of the art, to reliably protect your personal data.
Right from the design and selection of our IT systems, applications and processes, we ensure that data protection is taken into account from the outset and as standard. In this way, we ensure that, as a matter of principle, only such personal data is processed as is necessary for the respective purpose and that this data remains protected against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. To ensure the secure transmission of your data, we use secure encryption methods (e.g. SSL), so that your information cannot be viewed by third parties. Our measures are regularly reviewed and continuously developed to ensure a high level of data protection.

Recipients of your data

Your personal data is generally processed in a Member State of the European Union or in another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Your rights

You have a right of access, i.e. you may request that we disclose all the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR). Furthermore, you may also request rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR). You have the right to data portability, i.e. to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, insofar as this is technically possible (Art. 20 GDPR). Under certain circumstances, you have the right to object to the further processing of your personal data (Art. 21 GDPR).

Where we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to withdrawal; however, processing will cease for the future.

We take your enquiries and concerns very seriously and endeavour to address them at all times. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in accordance with Article 77 of the GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 of the BDSG. You have the option of lodging a complaint with the Data Protection Officer mentioned above or with a data protection supervisory authority.

Miscellaneous

This privacy policy is updated as necessary, for example if the legal framework changes or our processes are adjusted. The current version published on our website at the time of your visit is always the authoritative one.
Should any changes require your involvement, such as new consent or individual notification, we will inform you in good time.
