Maintenance Services
Air Technologies & Safety offers service and maintenance for building services and process engineering systems as part of its portfolio.
This area covers standard maintenance, repairs, periodic inspections (WKP), the implementation of detailed procedures in accordance with inspection manuals, inspections, hygiene sampling in accordance with VDI 6022, system cleaning and inspection rounds.
Maintenance support during operation can be commissioned for any system not installed by Iqony. All maintenance services in our portfolio can be offered as individual services tailored to your needs.

Our staff carry out maintenance, repairs, periodic tests and inspections throughout the entire lifecycle of a plant. Unparalleled expertise, extensive experience, decades of constructive project work, as well as ambition and strong team spirit are the key factors behind the success of our service team. On this basis, Iqony is able to deploy its flexible staff not only nationally but also across national borders. In particular, the team is distinguished by its willingness to work in nuclear control areas. Our specialist staff have undergone reliability checks in accordance with nuclear regulations and consist of Category A radiation-exposed personnel. We are also able to provide plant managers for the operation of building services systems. With the aim of enabling our clients to operate independently, we offer specialist seminars. These represent a tailored form of staff training for our clients. In this way, too, we foster a relationship of trust as the basis for effective collaboration.

In the field of plant services, we take care of the complete planning and implementation of all technical services required for safe plant operation: maintenance, inspection, repair and optimisation. We also provide services for control systems and electrical networks, from planning and installation through to maintenance.
The range of plants extends from coal-fired power stations and combined cycle power stations, through waste, biomass, wind power and biogas plants, to refinery power stations, industrial plants, district heating systems and electricity grids.
Greater efficiency and reliability in compressed air supply
Regular maintenance, servicing and inspection of your compressed air system ensures the reliability of your company’s compressed air supply. As a subsidiary of Iqony, we have many years of experience in compressed air technology services.
Our aim is to extend the service life of your system and prevent costly breakdowns and machine downtime: that is why our trained specialist staff take care of all compressed air technology services for you. This also includes TÜV preparation for compressed air receivers and storage tanks. With our services covering measurement, data acquisition and analysis, we support you in improving the efficiency of your systems – thereby helping to reduce your costs.
Our comprehensive service for compressed air technology includes: technical consultancy, supply and installation of complete systems for compressed air generation, treatment and distribution, including all installation and connection work.
LasmAaZ, Brunsbüttel
At the LasmA Brunsbüttel storage facility for low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste, waste from the decommissioning of the Brunsbüttel nuclear power plant and (residual) operational waste is to be stored until the Konrad mine becomes available as a national final repository. Here, we are responsible for the entire ventilation system and exhaust air monitoring in the service buildings and radioactive waste storage facilities.
Endlager Konrad, Salzgitter
Iqony is supporting the construction of two new buildings on the site of the Konrad Mine in Salzgitter. This is where Germany’s first final repository for low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste, approved under nuclear law, is being built. The planning and technical requirements for the buildings to be constructed are correspondingly high. These are being designed and built to be earthquake-resistant under the nuclear regulatory oversight of the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management (BASE).
FAIR Accelerator Center, Darmstadt
The FAIR particle accelerator facility in Darmstadt is one of the largest construction projects in the international research sector. Twenty-five structures are being built on a site covering approximately 150,000 square meters. Iqony is supporting this highly complex construction project by planning the complete building services systems, including ventilation, heating, cooling, smoke extraction, fire suppression, and gas systems.
